A devastating landslide has left at least three residential buildings caved-in, throwing residents of Obosi community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State into panic.
With a further threatening gully erosion, more buildings and livelihoods are at risk in the area.
Women mostly aged persons of Ugamuma village, in Obosi community of Anambra State could not hold back tears of agony.
Days after a devastating landslide, scars of the disaster are still quite visible, as the gully created continues to expand and threatening to swallow more buildings.


Locals have become homeless, stranded and helpless – telling heart wrenching stories of the landslide that occurred in the area on the 13th of August, after an early morning downpour.
The presence of some journalists was an opportunity to cry out for assistance, saying that efforts of individuals in the past to remedy flood impacts in their community had made no difference.
They want the State and federal governments to take concrete actions to permanently resolve the unexpected natural disaster.
With the rain still pounding heavily, every torrential downpour adds to the fears, anxiety and agony of indigent residents of Anwusi Ugamuma village of Obosi community, who now have no shelter to cover them.
