Members of the creative industry, diplomats and dignitaries from different walks of life Tuesday joined the Lagos State government to unveil a world-class film hub project, the Lagos Film City, located in Ejirin Epe.
The groundbreaking ceremony unveiled by Governor Babajide Sanwoolu is an initiative of the state government in collaboration with Private Public Partnership (PPP) a 100 billion naira project to be built on 100 hectares land; which is expected to create job opportunities, serve as a tourist site to visitors, drive investments, train young aspiring filmmakers, among other benefits.
Governor Sanwoolu called on well-meaning Nigerians and film enthusiasts to cooperate with the state government to deliver on building a film city that is the biggest in Sub-Saharan Africa.
