Dignitaries from different walks of life Friday converged on the Fountain of Life Church Illupeju Lagos for a service of songs to say goodbye to the late Nigerian legendary singer, songwriter, journalist, human rights crusader and broadcaster Onyeka Onwenu.
The ceremony commenced with a professional hymn that ushered in body of the Iyogogo singer Onyeka, accompanied by pallbearers dressed in the traditional Igbo cultural outfit along with her two sons Tijani and Abraham Ogunlende.
The elegant stallion as she was fondly called in her lifetime died on July 30th 2024 at the Reddington Hospital Lagos after performing at a birthday party.

Dignitaries present at the private ceremony include Governor of Abia State Alex Otti, presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections Peter Obi,
ace musicians Orits Williki, TeeMac Omatshola-Itseli, captains of industry among others.
The body of the late singer departs church for the Ebony Vaults for a burial service by 2pm.
