Some lawyers have called for improvement in the laws that help promote intellectual properties of Nigerians as there is the need to nurture innovations both at the National and international level.
This was the consensus at the innovation conference by the intellectual property institute, where the need to preserve peculiarity especially in line with the traditional heritage of Nigerians topped discussions.
The institute which honoured the likes of Professor Jamila Mohamed and some other well meaning Nigerians who have contributed one way or another in the promotion of intellectual property also advised on protection of such rights.

The conference is aimed at helping Nigerians understand the rudiments of intellectual property and the need to promote the innovations.
