The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Abia State, has declared Alex Otti, of the Labour Party, LP, as Governor-elect of the Saturday, March 18th, 2023 poll.
Otti polled a total of 175467 votes to defeat his closest rival, Okey Ahiwe of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, who secured a total of 88529 votes.

The state Returning Officer and the Vice Chancellor Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO, Professor Nnenna Oti, who announced the result, returned Otti as elected.
