Gunmen suspected to be political thugs have attacked the convoy of the Lagos State Labour Party Governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour during his campaign in Epe.
Olawale Olowu who was Commissioner under administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was said to have narrowly escaped unhurt when the suspected thugs reportedly shot at the campaign convoy of the Labour Party standard bearer on Saturday.

Rhodes-Vivour on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday said there have been lots of threats and assassination attempts on his life In recent times. He confirmed that the shooting incident took place at Ita Opo area of Epe town while on a campaign rally in company of the Boot Party Governorship candidate, Olawale Olowu who has collapsed his structures to support him.
The suspected political thugs according to Rhodes-Vivour shot sporadically missing their targets by the whiskers as they tried to block the road to prevent the campaign convoy from entering into their arena. He explained that despite the attack, the procession was successful as the security details attached to his campaign team repelled the hoodlums..
