Large number of Passengers narrowly escaped death as a Lagos bound passenger train on Sunday crushed a trailer and a tricycle popularly called Keke Napep in Kano State.
The incident according to eyewitnesses occurred around 11am when the trailer and tricycle were trying to cross the rail track along Obasanjo close to Ibrahim Taiwo road.

Spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Kano Command, Abdullahi Labaran who confirmed the incident said no life was lost in the accident.
He said upon receiving the information the officers moved to the scene of the accident and efforts are still ongoing to clear the road in order to ensure free flow of traffic.
Also the Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusuf said his team had evacuated six passengers who sustained injuries from the incident and are currently at the Murtala Muhammad hospital for medical attention.
Eye witnesses, blamed the accident on over speeding by the trailer who did not take note of the signal raised at him that a train was approaching.
