Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State, has expressed deep sorrow, over the fatal boat incident in Kebbi State, which claimed the lives of over 150 people, recently.
Masari in a statement signed by his Director General, Media, Abdu Labaran, commiserated with the governor, the government and people of the Kebbi State, over “the devastating tragedy.”
He also on behalf of the government and people of Katsina State, consoled the immediate families of the deceased, citing the inevitability of death, as ordained by Allah, the creator of all things.

He said as painful and devastating the sudden deaths maybe, nobody dies before the hour appointed for them by Allah.
He said, as the Grand Creator has decreed in the Holy Quran, “every life shall taste death,” and no soul shall exceed the time appointed for it, even by one second.
Governor Masari however, called on boat and operators of other marine forms of transportation, to always adhere to the guidelines and regulations, outlined by the relevant authorities, saying that doing so, will greatly minimise tragedies.
