Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, has announced a cash reward of 50 million Naira for players of the Rangers International Football Club for winning 2023/2024 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) title.
Governor Mbah who announced the reward during a reception for all players and club officials on Saturday at the Banquet Hall of the Enugu State Governor’s Lodge, also said that other non-cash rewards are planned for the NPFL reigning champions.
He pledged to redouble support for the club and urged them to sustain their “never die” spirit as they prepare to represent the country at the continental level.
The Flying Antelopes, having secured the 2023/2024 NPFL championship with a total of 70 points and 56 goals, are looking set to carry their domestic success report to the continental stage.
Rangers International FC will face Comoros Islands’ League champions, Union Sportive Zilimadjou, in the first preliminary round games in August.
