The Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, MDCAN, has raised fresh alarm over “worsening” standards in the country’s health sector.

Addressing journalists in Jos after the association’s National Executive Council meeting held virtually, MDCAN National President, Prof. Kenneth Ozoilo, called on the Federal Government to act before it is too late.

Quite disturbing is the exodus of highly skilled manpower in the health sector, especially doctors and nurses to other countries.

The group said the time has come for government to begin to take active steps to examine the problem and advance solutions to avoid imminent collapse of the already fragile health system.
