The management of the Federal University Wukari has decried the host community’s poor compliance with Covid-19 protocols.
The Vice-Chancellor, Abubakar Kundiri, however, assured that the institution will adhere to all the guidelines, to keep the disease away.
Government institutions of learning have since resumed academic activities across Nigeria, but with the Covid-19, so much has changed for staff, students, and the host communities alike.
While some have accepted the new ways of everyday living, due to the disease, others still live in denial.
The Federal University Wukari is battling to keep its environment safe, as the majority of people in its host community do not believe in the existence of Covid-19.
The management of the institution said it is doing its best to ensure that Covid-19 guidelines are adhered to in the school, but the attitude of the host community to the disease is disturbing.

Despite the enlightenment campaigns embarked on by the government on the second wave of Covid-19, many people, especially at the grassroots, do not believe in its existence.
