Members of the Nigerian Medical Association NMA and Society of Family Physicians of Nigeria have called for the prioritization of Mental Healthcare to prevent people from pushing beyond their limits, leading to a breakdown under the current socio-economic challenges.

Speaking on how to build mental resilience at a forum in Lagos, the experts emphasized the need to remove the stigmatization associated with mental health issues and for people to embrace support groups to withstand the realities of life.

The symposium was part of activities to mark the 2025 world family Physicians Day.
