In a bid to improve healthcare in Portharcourt city Local Government Area, a three day Medical Outreach has been flagged off by the Allwel Ihunda administration.
The outreach, which was handled by top medical personnel from both public and private sectors, witnessed a large turn out of patients from within and outside portharcourt city who were beneficiaries of different medical treatments including surgeries.
According to a famous British author and statesman Winston Churchill, Healthy citizens are the greatest assets any Nation can have.which is why the Mayor of Portharcourt city Allwel Ihunda a man known for his philanthropic gesture deemed it necessary to carry out an all encompassing medical outreach to improve on the health status of not just the people of phalga but to the average citizens in dire need of medical attention but find it difficult to foot their bills.

Some of the beneficiaries, while thanking the mayor for the initiative, narrated the challenges that have been through in their quest to get medical attention both in public and private health facilities.
The outreach featured eye test and the distribution of medicated glasses, ultra scan sessions, free operations for hyenia, and appendicitis, amongst others.
