Organised labour in Taraba State has called off its indefinite strike, ending 17 days of action against the non-payment of the N30,000 minimum wage.
The Chairman of the State Joint Public Service Negotiating Council Between Labour and Government, Dame Buhari said both parties reached a truce after series of meetings.

This was as the Taraba State Government promised to work out modalities for the implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage starting from June this year.
It was in the light of this, the Chairman of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council announced the suspension of the strike, and asked the State’s Civil Servants to return to work with immediate effect.
The organized labour also called on the Civil Servants to report any case of victimisation for participating in the industrial action.
