There is an urgent need for the Federal Government to provide solution to the needs of Nigerians and refrain from misplaced priorities.
This is coming from one of the main opposition political parties in the country, the Social Democratic Party, SDP at a briefing in Abuja, on the current negotiation between the government and Organised Labour.
SDP National Chairman, Shehu Gabam while briefing journalists expressed the need for government to address the prevailing challenges in the country, saying that the party is in support of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, on their demand for a higher pay for workers.

Gabam says the change of the National Anthem has not changed the cost of living and insecurity across the country. He advised the government to put Nigerians first.
The party called on the Federal Government to give a better offer to the Nigerian workers even as the unions suspended the nationwide strike, in continuation of negotiations.
