Authorities have assured Nigerians that data on the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) portal remains secure, despite concerns following a recent cyber security breach attempt on the platform.
They noted that while the incident raised alarm, no critical data was compromised, adding that efforts have since been intensified to strengthen digital infrastructure against evolving cyber threats.
The assurance came during the inauguration of the new CAC board, where the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Jumoke Oduwole charged the agency to prioritise digital innovation, improve system resilience, and safeguard user data as more services move online.
The board pledged to deliver on its mandate, assuring Nigerians and the business community of its commitment to enhancing service delivery.
It emphasised plans to make doing business faster, easier, and more transparent, while reinforcing trust in the commission’s digital platforms.
