Nigeria’s House of Representatives witnessed another round of defections at the resumption of plenary proceedings on Wednesday with four Kano State lawmakers dumping the New Nigeria Peoples Party for the African Democratic Congress while two other lawmakers from Imo and Zamfara states respectively moved from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The lawmakers in their separate letters read by the House Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas cited internal crisis in their political parties for the decision.

The members include:

Sani Adamu Wakili representing Minjibir/Ungogo federal constituency of Kano State
(NNPP-ADC)

Muktar Umar Zakari representing Tarauni federal constituency of Kano State
(NNPP-ADC)

Yusuf Umar Datti representing Kura/Madobi/Garun-Mallam federal constituency of Kano State
(NNPP-ADC)

Abdulhakeem Kamilu Ado representing Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency of Kano State
(NNPP-ADC)

Chinedu Emeka Martins representing Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte federal constituency of Imo State
(PDP-APC)

Kabiru Ahmadu Mai-Palace Gusau/Tsafe federal constituency of Zamfara State
(PDP-APC)
