Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has appointed former Director-General of the Industrial Training Fund, Joseph Ari, as Director-General of the Mutfwang/Piyo 2027 Governorship Campaign Council.
Mutfwang announced the appointment in Jos while receiving members of the Order of the Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria, Jos Metropolitan Council.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang says the appointment followed consultations among stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State.
He says Joseph Ari was selected based on his leadership experience, political and organisational capacity.
Ari is a former Director-General of the Industrial Training Fund and a member of the APC.
As Director-General of the campaign council, he will coordinate the Mutfwang/Piyo campaign across Plateau State’s 17 local government areas.
His appointment comes as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
