Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has been granted bail in the sum of 500 million Naira, with 2 sureties in like sum.
The sureties must possess landed property in the FCT valued at same amount and must deposit their original Land title documents, to the court.
The court also held that the sureties must depose to an affidavit of means and deposit copies of their passport photographs with the court.
The trial judge, Justice Emeka Nwite however ordered that Bello deposit a copy of his international passport to the court registrar.
He is to be remanded in Kuje correctional center, pending the perfection of his bail conditions.
The FCT high court had denied Bello bail on December 10, in the 110 billion Naira fraud allegation charges against him by the EFCC and ordered that he be remanded in kuje correctional center till January 25, when the matter is expected to come up.
