The Nigerian Air Force says it has neutralised several terrorists and foiled planned attacks during coordinated air strikes on Bukar Meram in the Southern Tumbuns and Chikide in the Mandara Mountains.
In a statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI said the strikes also destroyed terrorist logistics hubs, structures and assembly points hidden within the enclaves.
The statement said the Nigerian Air Force has intensified ongoing air offensives against terrorist elements in the North-East through precision strikes conducted after credible Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, ISR, missions.
According to the statement, the operations targeted insurgent hideouts believed to be used for planning attacks and coordinating logistics.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, reaffirmed the NAF’s commitment to sustained joint operations with sister services and allied partners to degrade terrorist capabilities and restore peace across affected areas.
He added that intelligence-led air operations would continue to track and destroy terrorist hideouts, logistics networks and operational bases wherever they are located.
