Following Tuesday’s violent uprising by angry youth in Naka Gwer-West Local Government Area of Benue State, the royal father of the area, Ter Nagi Daniel Abomtse has accused the civil protection guards of complicity.
The Ter Nagi whose palace was equally razed down during the rampage wants a thorough investigation and the perpetrators brought to justice.
Residents of some prominent sons of the area as well as a hotel belonging to the Senator representing them were also attacked.
Protests took a violent turn when angry youth took corpses of 3 civil protection guards who were reportedly killed by suspected herders to the council’s secretariat to register their outright displeasure regarding the level of insecurity but then turned the heat on persons they perceived to be linked with Government to get government’s attention.
Sanity has seemingly been restored as security have taken over ,calming down the situation and enforcing the 24 hour curfew.
