The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS has identified 39 tertiary institutions accused of failing to refund tuition fees to students who also received NELFUND payments, leading to accusations of double-billing.
At the inauguration of new executive in Abuja, NANS ppresident, Akinteye Afeez said it has released the comprehensive list of tertiary institutions who have held back funds released for students’ upkeep by NELFUND.
The NANS president who was sworn in alongside other members of his executive said frantic efforts are being made to provide seamless access to telecommunication services on campuses while assuring prompt payment of delayed Stipends of Students industrial work experience scheme, SIWES
The inauguration was attended by ministers, presidential aide, Youth leaders, former NANS President, NANS Zonal officers and Student union government presidents, witnessed a large turnout of students from various institutions across Nigeria
