Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has commissioned the 3.2-kilometre Loko Link and Township Roads in Loko, Nasarawa Local Government Area.
The ₦2.8 billion project fulfills a long-standing promise to the community and represents a key step in improving local infrastructure.
Governor Sule described the project as significant, recalling the once difficult journey to Loko due to poor road conditions.
He explained that the road was constructed as a ring route, connecting major parts of the town such as the market, Gidan Liman area, and surrounding neighbourhoods, thereby enhancing mobility and economic activity.
Governor Sule emphasised that the project was executed without borrowing, attributing this to improved revenue from federal allocations and his administration’s commitment to fiscal discipline.
He assured residents of plans to complete and upgrade the Loko hospital to a full general hospital before the end of his tenure.
