Nasarawa LG Polls: APC clears 60 for Chairmanship Primaries

60 Chairmanship aspirants in the forthcoming Local Council elections in Nasarawa state have been cleared to contest for ticket of the All Progressives Party.

Eighty-six 86 aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC in Nasarawa State, had purchased forms to indicate their interest to contest for the Chairmanship tickets. Out of this number, 75 presented themselves for screening, with 60 scaling the hurdle.

Doma Local Government has the highest number of aspirants with 19, including a woman, while Akwanga and Keffi have eight aspirants each. Nasarawa Eggon and Lafia Local Governments have seven aspirants each.

Karu Local Government has six aspirants, while Keana and Awe have five aspirants each, with Nasarawa Local Government and Wamba having four aspirants each and Toto Local Government has five.

The APC has slated July 25th for the conduct of its chairmanship primaries ahead of the October 6th Local Council polls.
