Nasarawa Party Primaries: Security agents caution politicians against violence

NASARAWA

Nasarawa State Police Commissioner, CP Shetima Mohammed, has cautioned politicians and their supporters against violence ahead of party primaries.

After a security meeting in Lafia, CP Shetima Mohammed said the police will not tolerate inflammatory statements, political thuggery, and unlawful rallies advising that political activities must be conducted peacefully and in line with the law.

He reminded political leaders that they would be accountable for their supporters and advised youths not to allow themselves to be used for violence.

The police commissioner, however, assured residents of adequate security and called on all stakeholders to work together to maintain peace in the state.
