The Nasarawa State Police Command says medical examinations conducted on victims with cases of mysterious genital disappearance have all returned with a clean bill of health.
According to a statement by the command’s spokesman , DSP Ramhan Nansel, released in Lafia. the cases of mysterious genital disappearance investigated were from Nasarawa Eggon, Obi, Lafia and Keffi Local government areas of the state.
The command warned that anyone caught engaging in raising false alarm, mob action and jungle justice over such allegations will face prosecution.

The police said it was concerned about the issue which has been trending in Nasarawa State for more than a week and needed to state unequivocally that cases of mysterious genital disappearance were baseless, unfounded and without proof.
The issue began in Keffi Local government of the state when a middle-aged man raised alarm over the dispearance of his genitals after a handshake.
No fewer than 15 more cases have been reported in four local government areas of the state one week, with Lafia, the state capital, having the highest number.
