The Non-Academic Staff Union, (NASU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, ( SSANU), Abubakar Tafawabalewa University, Bauchi Chapter, have joined a three-day protest on the proposed allocation formula to be used for the sharing the next tranche of N22.12billion to be released by the Federal Government, for the payment of the Earned Allowance, at the rate of 75% to Academic Staff and 25% to the Non-teaching staff.
According to the Chairman of the union, Abubakar Tafawabalewa University Chapter, Sulisima Jatau, there will be no going back until the union receives a positive response from the Federal Government or risk indefinite strike action.
The leadership of the union has met with their members to brief them on the stand of the national body, before marching to the gate of the university, with placards of various inscriptions on their demands.
At the gate of the university, the union offered prayers from the two faiths, for God to intervene in their situations.

The leadership of the union said, enough is enough, and that their members will no more endure what the Federal Government is playing out on them.
Among their demands are that they are against the Federal Government refusing to pay the arrears of Minimum Wage Consequential Adjustment as agreed at the last meeting of the Joint Action Committee with the Federal Government, among others.
