In a new twist of events, the Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom who was the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for the Benue northwest senatorial district in the just concluded National Assembly elections has withdrawn his petition against the winner.
Ortom who made this known to newsmen at the Government House in Makurdi says it is in the interest of peace and without prejudice to suits filled by other candidates of the PDP.

And this was after he met with critical stakeholders of the zone including members of his campaign council at the Government house Makurdi.
Ortom lost his Senatorial bid to Titus Zam of the All Progressives Congress (APC,) an election he expressed dissatisfaction with, but now decided to overlook.
