Gov. Monday Okpebholo of Edo State

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has declared that Nigeria does not belong to kidnappers and other criminal elements threatening the nation’s peace and security.

The governor made the declaration during a worship service at LoveWorld City, also known as Christ Embassy, in Benin City, where he called for prayers against kidnapping, cultism, and other security challenges confronting the country.

The Governor said criminal elements must not be allowed to hold the nation hostage, insisting that Nigeria belongs to law-abiding citizens and not kidnappers.

The governor appealed to Christians and Nigerians to continue praying for peace, security, prosperity, and economic recovery across the country.

Governor Okpebholo also urged the congregation to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength, and guidance in leading the nation and addressing economic challenges.

During the service, the officiating pastor, Moses Olayemi, led special prayers for Nigeria, its leaders, the economy, and communities across the nation while also commending Governor Okpebholo for ongoing developmental projects in Edo State, particularly improvements in road infrastructure.

The governor’s continued engagement with faith-based communities underscores his belief in the role of prayer and collective responsibility in addressing the nation’s challenges and fostering lasting peace and progress.
