All is now set for the final phase of elections into the boards of 23 national sporting federations at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Thursday, September 30th, 2021.
The Chairman of the electoral committee, Peter Nelson, said, “The committee is conducting elections into the 23 federations that were yet to have their own constitutions approved by their international bodies. These Federations will have their elections conducted using the 2021 Electoral Guidelines approved by the Ministry.

“Ten Federations with their constitutions in place will use those documents to conduct their own elections.”
Nelson confirmed that elections were successfully conducted at the zonal level and other relevant bodies such as NAWIS, NAPHER, Athletes Representatives, Military and Para Military in a free, fair and transparent manner.
Thurday’s exercises will result into the election of Presidents and Vice presidents of the various National Sports Federations.
According to the election timetable, the documentation of delegates will start at 9:30 AM while the actual voting is expected to begin at 11:30 AM.
The election result will be declared immediately, and the boards sworn in immediately by the Minister of Youth and sports Development Mr Sunday Dare.
