Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has commissioned the Molecular Laboratory built by his administration and equipped by the North-East Development Commission, NEDC, under the technical supervision of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
Governor Mohammed said the establishment of the centre was informed by the need to address the global pandemic and ensure that the issue of sample testing for infectious diseases is being expedited in the state.

He also described commissioned Molecular laboratory as dream come true for the government and the people of Bauchi State.
With the certification of the laboratory by the NCDC, Bauchi State does not have to take its samples to other centres across the country, just as the North East Development Commission says, it will continue to support the region to tackle health issues.
