The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has adopted former Senator representing Kaduna South, Danjuma Laah, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 Kaduna State governorship election.
The adoption was announced at a meeting of the party’s State Executive Committee and local government chairmen in Kaduna.
State Chairman of the party, Mordecai Ibrahim, said the adoption was reached after consultations with party stakeholders and in line with the wishes of members.
Accepting the nomination, Senator Danjuma Laah thanked the party for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to provide purposeful leadership if elected governor.
The NDC said it would continue consultations and grassroots mobilisation as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
