The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to address reports of unverified, AI-generated names and photographs in the voters’ register, warning that the allegations could undermine public confidence in the electoral process ahead of the 2027 general election.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, the party’s national leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, urged INEC to provide verifiable information and take additional measures to assure Nigerians of the credibility of the voters’ register, cautioning against the inclusion of fictitious or non-existent names.
On reports of an Ebola case in Nigeria and concerns about its potential impact on the 2027 general election, Dickson cautioned against speculation, urging the Federal Government to provide clear and definitive information to the public.
He also called on Nigerians, particularly young people, to work with the party towards restoring the country’s image and advancing the aspirations of its citizens.
