The organizers of the NDDC U-17 Peace Cup, have announced that the finals which were initially billed to kick-off Friday, 19th March have been shifted for a few days.
In a statement signed by the tournament Organising Secretary, Coach Ada Gwegwe, and the Organising Secretary, Coach Ada Gwegwe, said the postponement was due to last-minute unforeseen hitches, and the shift is to enable them to ensure the competition would end smoothly.
According to the statement, the arrival of participating teams to Akwa Ibom has also been put on hold, as a new date for arrival, screening, and commencement of the finals will be communicated later.

The organisers regret the inconveniences the postponement must have caused the teams and other stakeholders, as it was beyond their control, urging the participating teams to use the period to further prepare for the finals.
