National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS has made a passionate appeal to the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC to consider completing its abandoned hostel project at Delta State University Abraka, in South-South Nigeria.
According to the university authorities, the project was awarded in 2013, and when completed, the hostel is expected to accommodate over 1,000 students.
It is over a decade since then, yet, the project remains uncompleted at a time when students are faced with accomodation challenges in tertiary institutions across the country.
NANS believes if abandoned hostel projects are completed, Nigeria students would be relieved from accommodation crisis.

Reacting to the demands of the student association, Director in charge of NDDC in Delta State,
Onoriode Omo-Udoyo, in a message to AIT.live gave the assurance that plans are underway
by the Commission to complete the long stalled hostel project.
