The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Samuel Ogbuku says the Commission is complying with the tenets of the Public Procurement Act in award and implementation of projects.
The NDDC boss stated this during the three day Capacity Building Training on Public Procurement for NDDC Executive Management and Directors in Port Harcourt.
The capacity building training on public procurement for NDDC executive directors and directors was to empower and ensure that management staff do not fall short of the law while discharging their functions as line procurement officers.
The managing director of the NDDC, Samuel ogbuku, assured that the commission will comply fully with the public procurement act especially when the agency is about to implement the e-procurement system to combat corruption and promote accountability.
Resource persons spoke on the need to adhere strictly to the tenants of the procurement act.
Participants at the three day training include deputy directors and assistant directors.
