National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, says it has uncovered a drugstore where 38 bags of cannabis sativa were stockpiled in Niger State, North-Central Nigeria.
The development was revealed by the spokesperson of the command, Superintendent of Narcotics, Hashim Abubakar.
According to him, in the early hours of Thursday, May 27, at about 4am, a team of NDLEA officers, based on credible intelligence, raided a drug store, Gidan Kukah, in Bosso Local Government Area, Niger State and recovered 38 bags of Cannabis sativa weighing 457 kilogrammes.
Abubakar added that a 46-year-old suspect, Godwin Zakka, a native of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, was first arrested in his residence located at Gbeganu, Minna, with a small quantity of Cannabis before he led officers to his storehouse where the cache was recovered.
The suspect has been detained pending the outcome of the investigation.
