The Northeast Development Commission, NEDC, says it will provide relief materials to victims of flood disasters in Taraba State, whenever it receives a report on the incident from the state government.
The Managing Director of the NEDC, Mohammed Alkali, who stated this during the commissioning of a Covid-19 Molecular Laboratory, equipped by the commission and 331 information, communication, and technology trainees as one of its health interventions in the state, said such report will avert possible humanitarian crisis in the state.
Mohammed Alkali added that 97projects have so far been undertaken in Taraba State by the commission.

The Commission also advised Taraba people to be wary of the covid-19 disease, as it presented the state government with facemasks, hand sanitizers, and disinfectants, for the public and private schools.
Responding to the projects of the commission, Governor Darius Ishaku commended President Muhammadu Buhari, for establishing the commission, to bridge the developmental gap, created by insecurity, in the Northeast.
