The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has said it will support state governments returning crisis victims back to their ancestral homes.
The Agency stated this while distributing relief materials to the over Eighteen Thousand IDPs who are Victims of persistent attacks in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau.
Some of the major challenges bedeviling the over 18 thousand victims of the Mangu Militia attacks, who are now seeking refuge in over twenty different IDP camps are issues of food shortage and proper shelter.
It is for this reason, that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is reaching out to the Victims in continuation of President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of crisis victims as explained by the State Coordinator of NEMA, Eugene Nyelong who also assured of the Agency Support for the return of the IDPs back to their homes.

The victims celebrate the arrival of the relief materials brought to them while appealing to the government to return them back to their various villages.
The Mangu Council Chairman, Markus Artu while appreciating NEMA said relative Peace has returned to most of the communities affected by the crisis and the state government has intensified efforts to ensure that all internally displaced persons are back to their Communities soon.
