The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has presented relief materials to seven hundred and fifteen households in the 57 communities affected by floods in Niger State.
The Head of the Operations Office, Lydia Wagami said the items will serve as succour to the victims who lost their farmlands to the perennial flood.
Wagami who was represented by the Head of Search and Rescue, Hussaini Isah, noted that the items will also cushion the effect and hardship that COVID-19 pandemic has brought n the people.
The items distributed to the beneficiaries in Bosso and Paikoro Local Government Areas include 715 bags of rice, seven hundred and 15 bags of beans as well as 715 bags of maize.

Others are vegetable oil, seasoning, tin tomatoes and salt, as well as mattresses, clothing, and building materials.
He appealled to the beneficiaries not to sell the items meant to improve their living conditions.

The Chairman, Bosso Local Government Area, Abubakar Gomna, appreciated the Federal Government for the gesture.
