The newly deployed Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG in charge of Zone 14, Edward Egbuka, and the new Commissioner of Police, Shehu Nadada, have assured the people of Katsina State that the newly acquired policing arsenal will breathe new life into the fight against terrorism in Northwest Nigeria
The duo who gave the assurance when they separately formal visits to the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, said they have already hit the ground running, saying terrorists will have to surrender or run for their lives
They also assured Governor Masari of a peaceful, free and fair elections in 2023.
Governor Aminu Masari promised his visitors the state government’s maximum cooperation to enable them succeed.
Masari acknowledged the police lack adequate numbers to effectively police the state and advised the newly deployed officers to ensure they acquire modern technology and carry out proactive policy

Governor Masari said the state government is complementing the shortage of security personnel by engaging the services of trained vigilante members, to allow communities take greater responsibility for their security
Until his appointment as AIG Zone 14 in charge of Katsina and Kaduna states. Edward Egbuka, was the Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, while Shehu Nadada, was Commissioner of Police Communications, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
