The Newly deployed Commissioner for Police in Kwara State, Tuesday Assayomo, and this Friday officially took over the leadership of the police command with the assurance of tackling cultism and kidnappings in the state.
Assayomo told Journalists at the State Command Headquarters in Ilorin, where he also expressed his readiness to maintain the harmonious and peaceful relationship between the public and the police in the State.
Speaking on the recent kidnapping of nine persons including a Pastor and his Spouse, the new Commissioner used the media parley, to officially confirm the release of the victims.

The new commissioner assured residents of the state of their safety, noting that politicians would not be allowed to use the police against the people.
