The newly elected leadership of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Kwara State has promised to work round the clock to realize a befitting minimum wage for the workers in the state in the face of untold economic hardship facing the country
The new TUC Chairman, Olayinka Onikijipa and his Vice, Ganiyu Balogun gave the assurance shortly after the emergence of the new executives through a consensus arrangement during the 6th Triennial State Delegates Conference in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.

The newly elected Chairman of the Trade Union Congress in Kwara State, Olayinka Onikijipa is from the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) an affiliate of the TUC in the state who promised to work in the interest of workers especially in this crucial period of minimum wage negotiation between government and workers.
The Union leaders however insist they will engage the state government meaningfully with a view to delivering acceptable minimum wage for Kwara State workers as soon as possible.
