The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has announced August 8th, 2021 as the date for the extraordinary general congress.
The congress which will coincide with the final of the 2021 Aiteo Cup, will hold in Edo State with agenda centered on the amendment of the federation’s statutes.
In a release signed by the NFF Secretary-General, Dr. Ibrahim Sanusi addressed to “All delegates, State Football Association, referees, leagues, coaches, and the players union,” and scheduled to commence by 10 am prompt, listed “amendment of the 2010 NFF Statutes” as the only agenda to be discussed.

The amendment of the 2010 Statutes is coming on the heal of pressure mounted by the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria, PFAN on the need to amend the rules as the 2022 elections into the executive board of the NFF approaches.
