Minister of Labour and Employment and Presidential Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Chris Ngige has refused to resign his position as cabinet minister as directed by a circular signed by the secretary to the government of the Federation Boss Mustapha.
In a statement on Friday personally signed by Chris Ngige, the Former Anambra Governor said he actually purchased the Presidential nomination and expression of interest forms, but has not yet filled the forms.

Ngige adds that he is therefore withdrawing from the contest, starting with the APC primaries schedule for May 30, after having consultation with President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said he had indicated interest after consulting his constituency who contributed to procure the forms and that he has gone back to his people who have asked him to withdraw and concentrate on his job as a minister of the federal Republic.
