Defence Chiefs from eleven ECOWAS member nations will meet for the second time to firm up plans to oust the junta which removed Niger Republic President Mohamad Bazoum in Accra, the Ghanaian capital, from Thursday.
This follows the postponement of the meeting earlier scheduled for last Saturday in the same city due to what was tagged “technical reasons”.

The subregion’s military chiefs had met in Abuja for three days two weeks ago a few days after the first meeting of the ECOWAS leaders in the aftermath of the coup, where Nigerie’s top general, Christopher Musa said the regional forces will follow through with the decision to use force to uproot the junta, but expressed optimism that dialogue will prevail to resolve the stand-off.
