The Coalition of Pro-democracy Activists in Katsina State, North-West Nigeria has staged a peaceful protest to express their opposition to coup d’etat in African countries, calling for the release of President Muhammed Bazoum and commending the efforts of ECOWAS in its determination to restore constitutional order in Niger Republic.
The chairperson of the group, Bishir Dauda who led the protest added that they condemn in totality the display of arrogance by the Niger Republic coup plotters against world leaders who have attempted to wade into the situation, demanding an immediate apology to them.

Displaying different placards like “Release Bazoum”, “I am in support of ECOWAS”, “UP ECOWAS”, “Say No to Russian Expansionism” among others, the group members condemned the political situation in Niger Republic.
Dauda who further warned the junta not to put the sub-region into a needless and unwarranted conflict because of their selfish gain, commended ECOWAS and President Bola Tinubu for the steps taken so far.
