Niger Delta Development: NDDC pledges to Support Nigerian Navy

The Niger Delta development commission, NDDC, says it is ready to partner institutions within the Niger Delta region to address pressing health and educational challenges facing the country.

The managing director of NDDC, Samuel ogbuku, said this when the chief of naval staff, Rear Admiral Emmanuel ogalla, visited the commission’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital at the weekend.

The Naval chief was at the headquarters of the Niger Delta development commission, NDDC in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to appreciate the NDDC board and management for the support over the years, and to seek for more assistance, especially for the Admiralty University.

The managing director of the NDDC, Samuel ogbuku, told the visiting Naval chief that collaboration with the security agencies are part of the commission’s mandate to ensure peace and development of the oil rich Niger Delta region.

Ogbuku further explained that the NDDC remains willing to partner the admiralty university owned and managed by the Nigerian navy in areas of research and development to address some life threatening diseases, environmental and educational challenges.

The NDDC managing director extended invitation to the Nigerian navy to join the Commission as it celebrates her twenty five years of existence.
