A New leadership to pilot the affairs of the Niger state chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has emerged with Awwal Goma elected as the state chairman.
The National Organizing Secretary of the Party, who is also the outgoing acting Chairman, Umar-Faruk Auta made the revelation at the inauguration after the state Congress in Minna.
The new party Vice Chairman is Aliyu Ibrahim while Kabiru Mohammed emerged as the Secretary and Sa’idu Kowa became the Treasurer just as Hauwa Abubakar emerged as the Financial Secretary, Ahmed Lanle emerged as the Youth Leader.
Others include; Shu’aibu Tanko, Organizing Secretary, Hussaini Ibrahim, Publicity Secretary, Mustapha Imam, Legal Adviser and A’isha Musa as the Women leader among others.
In his acceptance speech, the newly sworn-in Chairman, Awwalu Doma thanked the party stakeholders for finding him worthy and assured to justify the confidence reposed on him.

He also appealed for the support and cooperation of everyone to succeed.
The outgoing acting Chairman, Umar-Farouk Auta said the past wrongs have been corrected hence, the affirmation of the new 27 state executive committee.
Auta appreciates the peaceful conduct, cordial relationship and cooperation accorded him within the period as caretaker Chairman in the state.
The State elder of the party and the 2023 Niger East Senatorial candidate of NNPP, Umar Abdulhamid said this will mark a new dawn in preparation for the 2027 elections to take over government in Niger state and Nigeria to ensure good governance.
Abdulhamid further explained that the past state leadership of the party had betrayed them, and sold them by involving in all kinds of anti-party activities that led to their suspension and acting executives, adding that the new Exco was based on trust, diligence and integrity leading to the successful and honest congress.
