The Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP, Shawulu Danmamman, has decorated forty-one Deputy Superintendents of Police, DSPs, including the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Wasiu Abiodun, to the next rank of Superintendent of Police, (SP).

Decorating the officers in Minna, CP Danmamman said, the 41 police officers were part of the 1,607 DSPs recently promoted to SP by the Police Service Commission, (PSC), based on recommendations from the IGP.

While congratulating the beneficiaries on their promotion, he told the officers that their new position comes with more responsibility, and expectations, in terms of credible performance, which are required in line with the IGP’s vision.

Danmamman also urged the officers to have respect for human rights, be people-friendly, and operate intelligently with the deployment of technology in their duties.

The CP then admonished them to take care of their families as they progressed on the job, which came with a pay raise.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, SP Jagaba Lukas, thanked the Commissioner of Police for the positive recommendations for the officers to the Force Headquarters, promising not to disappoint, especially with the added responsibility.
